Floor tiling
Living rooms, bedrooms and drawing rooms, laid flat and level.
Cracked, loose or hollow-sounding tiles fixed and re-set.
Most of the repair calls we get are not really about the broken tile — they are about whatever caused it. A single cracked tile in the middle of a sound floor is usually an impact. Several cracked tiles in a line, or tiles that sound hollow when tapped, mean the bed underneath has failed.
We tap-test the surrounding area before quoting so you know whether this is a one-tile fix or the start of a larger problem, rather than paying twice when the neighbouring tile lifts a month later.
Re-grouting is separate and often transforms a room on its own. Old grout that has gone dark, cracked or mouldy gets raked out fully — not skimmed over, which is why cheap re-grouting jobs look bad again within months — and replaced with fresh grout in a colour you choose.
Yes, if we can source a matching tile. Keep a few spares from the original job if you have them — matching an old discontinued batch is the hard part, not the work itself.
There is a void between the tile and the bed, usually from adhesive applied in dabs rather than full coverage. Those tiles will eventually crack or lift, so it is worth addressing before they do.
A fraction of it. If the tiles themselves are sound and you are only unhappy with how the grout looks, re-grouting gives you most of the visual improvement at a small part of the cost.
